Madi Bayes

Practicum Student

She, Her, Hers

Madi is thrilled to join the practicum program at the Parent & Family Wellness Center while pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, with a focus on Transpersonal Nature-Based Therapy.

During her extensive experience as a backcountry guide, Madi cultivated a deep passion for rites of passage and life transitions. This work instilled in her an earnest respect for the transformative processes we encounter throughout life—most notably, the profound journey into parenthood. Madi is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating this significant transition and strives to honor the sacredness of their experience.

Madi’s approach is integrative and relational, weaving together Gestalt therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic practices, through a Psychodynamic lens.

In her work, Madi creates a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel seen and supported. She recognizes the potency of linking internal experiences with physical awareness, using imagery, creativity, and nature as powerful tools to foster transformation, healing, and alignment with one’s values.

Self-care for Madi looks like walking around her neighborhood, making healthy meals, laughing with family and friends, and going on hikes with her partner.
